Wisedocs is thrilled to celebrate the second ever PHIT Awards, honouring our employees who consistently demonstrate our company values, Purpose-Driven, Honesty, Intelligence, and Tenacity. During our company’s Q3 onsite at our downtown Toronto office, the Wisedocs team gathered to celebrate the successful quarter, discuss new innovations, and collaborate in person, with some team members flying in from all across Canada and the United States. Here, we were able to celebrate those who have shown their dedication to our organization and its growth. By selecting employees who embody our core values, from nominations submitted by their peers, our team was able to celebrate the accomplishments of our peers together at this exciting in-person event. 

Celebrating Purpose-Driven Motivation 

The Purpose-Driven Award celebrates the individual who is deeply motivated by the mission and values of Wisedocs, and who consistently demonstrates a profound commitment to how their work makes a broader impact at the company, and for our client’s processes. This quarter, this recognition was awarded to James Bury, one of our Software Developers. 

James specializes in crafting new endpoints and functionality for customers to leverage our platform and is a long-term member of the Wisedocs team, having joined originally as a co-op student. Over the years, he has continued to significantly contribute to large projects at Wisedocs, such as spearheading our Automated Workflows product offering, all while inspiring his team with his dedication, and goals of seeking positive change for our clients and their processes. His passion, drive and innovation makes James an ideal recipient of this quarters Purpose-Driven PHIT award and we are glad to recognize his achievements and growth here at Wisedocs.

Honouring Honesty in the Workplace

When it comes to the workplace, sometimes it can be daunting to show up with honesty and voice your opinions. However, at Wisedocs, we encourage our team to fearlessly join the conversation to help keep all of us accountable and focused on our mission. With honesty being one of our core values, we appreciate those who exemplify integrity, transparency, and ethical behaviour in every aspect in their work. The Honesty Award celebrates an individual who conducts themselves in this way, and has earned the trust and respect of their peers. This quarter’s recipient was Michael Theodosiou, one of our Account Executives.

Michael consistently shows up with a commitment to truthfulness when it comes to his role and duties. As a front-facing team member who represents Wisedocs to clients, it is of the utmost importance that he openly communicates and builds trust and mutual respect with clients and his peers. Michael continues to set the bar high as a stellar example of someone who embodies integrity and Wisedocs’ mission, as he stays true to his word that people can depend on. He is an integral part of our sales team, and a dedicated team-player when it comes to building a positive work environment.

Inspiring Showcase of Intelligence 

At growing startups such as Wisedocs, new ideas and execution are pillars in our growth as an organization. The Intelligence Award honours individuals who display these exceptional intellectual capabilities, use their analytical skills, creativity, and problem solving to drive continual innovation. Ivan Blanco, one of our Product Managers, was this quarter’s recipient of the Intelligence Award, for his outstanding contributions to the Wisedocs platform.

Ivan’s ability to strategically plan and execute on decisions, while implementing insights of the changing market makes him the ideal candidate for the intelligence award. As a key member of our product development team, Ivan consistently applies his vast knowledge of the industry to identify new opportunities for organizational growth and the development of new features and processes that will benefit our clients' needs. His ability to anticipate these trends and overcome the complex challenges new developments pose sets Ivan apart as a leader and inspires his colleagues to go the extra mile in their intellectual endeavours.

Appreciating Tenacity and Dedication

In our fast growing company, tenacity is exhibited by all of our employees, showcasing our collective resilience, grit and perseverance when it comes to our mission. As a member of our team, we all know the hard work and dedication that goes into growing our business and product offerings. The entire Wisedocs team strives to exhibit this tenacity to help our clients have a seamless document review process. The Tenacity Award recognizes the individual who stands out above the rest for their unwavering determination to show up for the organization and their peers. This quarters’ award was presented to Sonya Stang, our Medical Documentation Training Specialist, for her enduring spirit and positivity in the face of challenges.

Sonya is a leading example of what the Wisedocs tenacious spirit looks like. Her ability to consistently exhibit professionalism and problem solving skills during difficult situations, embodies what we strive for in our company culture. Sonya constantly inspires her colleagues by pursuing excellence in her work, while maintaining a positive attitude and fostering employee collaboration amongst the team. Her commitment not only to the organization but to her fellow team members led to Sonya’s recognition for this inspiring award.
