At Wisedocs, we’re building a stellar team and we’re proud to introduce our team members over time through our monthly Wisedocs Brain Power series. Recently, we introduced you to Amy Mingopoulos, our Marketing Associate. Today, we will meet Karishma Shah, our Business Development Specialist.

Let’s get to know Karishma! 

“I completed a bachelor of business at the University of Windsor and focused on economics and logistics. Having this unique education gave me a competitive edge and unique perspective as I entered the workforce. 

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in various marketing, sales and consultant roles. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset and Wisedocs was the perfect place to nurture that.”

What makes you excited about Wisedocs?  

“People have been waiting for a product like Wisedocs for 30 years. We are not just a tool but growth partners for the companies that use us. We are going to take on the entire industry and its ecosystem and do so in an ethical way!”

What are the exciting challenges you’re working through at Wisedocs?

“Brand recognition. The companies that do work with us can’t live without us. But when you’re a young tech startup, the industry can be a goliath. That being said, our product’s capabilities speak for themselves and soon, this won’t be a challenge!”

What’s your stack as a Business Development Specialist? 

“Linkedin Sales Navigator helps me stay up to date with our clients. I love to celebrate their wins, growth, and what articles they find interesting. My Outlook calendar is the most important. Another important one is Zoom–I couldn't live without it! That’s where I get to connect with the Wisedocs team and our clients.” 

We place a high emphasis on connection here at Wisedocs. We know that the more our teams have the opportunity to work together, the more engaged and productive they’ll be! We leave lots of time to meet, for both work, and fun! 

What's your proudest moment here at Wisedocs?

“I am proud to be a founding member of the business development team. Right now it’s a lot of A/B testing as we build out our processes. It’s a fine balance in doing what we can to move the needle today, while thinking about long-term growth as we scale our business for the future.”

You’ve recently been to several conferences on behalf of Wisedocs, tell us about the experience! 

“It’s been a privilege to represent our team at these respected industry events. I love getting to be on the floor and learning about what’s happening in the industry. Getting to meet clients face to face is the most rewarding aspect of attending! It’s the best way to stay up to date on what solutions are in the landscape.”

Why is Wisedocs having such an impact in the insurance and claims space? 

“Because it makes sense, and it’s the natural way this industry is progressing. We’ve heard of AI in fintech, banking, retail, healthcare. The insurance and claims industry has been ripe for disruption, and it’s having its moment. Our platform was built with this industry as its primary focus, by industry specialists.”
